Sense. Play. Engage.
Sense. Play. Engage. was one of the winning projects which tied for 1st place in the OCAD U annual design competition in 2012. The challenge was to redesign the Grange Park behind the AGO and OCAD campus to include Universal Design. This charette takes place over 100 hours and must be presentable at the end of the time limit. One requirement of the competition involves teams including from both 2D and 3D disciplines. Our team was fortunate to reach a mutual partnership up with three Environmental designers and two Graphic Designers. The design process was heavily influenced by accentuating the senses when patrons would engage with the park. The visual presentation was a heat map showing foot traffic engagement from our redesigned pathways and areas within the park using Processing, and visual iconography. The final presentation focused on a sensorial experience and included an audio tour of the park's redesign for the visually impaired.
